Jane Made This

My mom quilts.  My memory tells me that she mostly crocheted afghans and lace, and sewed clothing when I was younger.  She did turn out a crazy quilt or two,  but now she is a full-fledged quilter.  I would venture to say that I own more of her handmade items than anyone else, probably because I am her youngest child.  (Spoiled, you know. Plus I have five kids.  Plus I'm not afraid to ask her for stuff.  Plus I buy some of it from her.)  Her things are almost all done with her trusty Bernina, except the bit of hand sewing on bindings, and her work is just wonderful.  She is particular about details, but also knows when not to stress about them.  Her items are nice enough to make you wonder if they are handmade or from a store, but then each piece always has a little something that makes you realize someone made this themselves.  I love that.
This month I plan to showcase my pieces of Jane's Christmas work.  I hope you will enjoy seeing it as much as I will enjoy showing it off.
