Julia made this.
Some of you have noticed my posts of things my mom Jane has made (Jane Made This is her business name). Here are two Christmas ornaments that she has from her mother, Julia.
This first one is a Styrofoam ball covered in black corduroy and decorated with flower-shaped sequins, pearl-head pins, and what looks like (and probably is) a bit of lace seam binding that was cut lengthwise.
This pretty little angel is wearing a red paper dress, with a flocked paper overskirt, pipecleaner arms, a doll's head bead, and gold foil bib and wings. I think her hair is polyester doll's hair. The holly is plastic, the ring is cardboard covered in green acrylic ribbon. But the best part is her little niche.
Her cubby-pocket there is made from half a pod from a milkweed plant! Oh, Grandma Julie, you were a genius!
