There's the garden:
I thought we only planted three zucchini plants. Husband says there were five. I think three would have been two too many... Not to mention the extra cucumbers we'd planted when the first planting didn't come up well. Should've stuck with those first few plants.
There was a vacation:
This weren't no stand-in-line-and-buy-a-ticket kind of trail ride. This was a genuine gather-the-neighbors-for-some-fun, c'mon-down-on-the-farm, pick-up-the-guy-on-the-tractor-along-the-way kind of trail ride. We rode cross-country all afternoon and had a great barbeque picnic at the end. This was Labor Day in North Dakota for more than 40 people. YeeHaw!
There was a special birthday:
...and I made that sweater for her. And she wore it all day, "My birfdee swehtah!" Oh, how I love my sweet baby girl!
And of course, there's home education:
Some days you're the Indians, some days you're Custer*.
(*Photo is not Custer's Last Stand. There are no volcanoes in the Little Big Horn valley.)
