Well, I've been playing with the new camera.*
For a few days I thought, "This might have to be sent back. It's not that great."
A few days later I thought, "Well, it does do some pretty cool stuff."
Now I'm thinking, "I could learn to love you. But first I have to figure you out."
I'm glad I didn't hurt its feelings.

What? That's not a camera? You don't say. It's true, Maytag doesn't make cameras (yet). They do, however, make washers that cost even more than a wished-for camera. And unfortunately, clean laundry takes priority over pretty photos for some people. *sigh* The good news is, it holds an absolute mountain of clothing. About two hampers-full, actually, which is a dream for a large family like ours.
And to put a bright spin on things, now I have more time to research exactly which camera I should buy. Right? Of course right.
I'm leaning toward the Canon EOS Rebel T1i because of the video capabilities. What do you have or wish for in a camera?

Save money when you print:
Use your printer options! Set your printer to use black only if you don't need your picture to be in color. Generally black ink costs less.
If you don't need the entire page to print, highlight the part of the page you need and choose "print selection" from your options.
If it doesn't matter what the back of your page looks like, reuse/recycle by using the blank backs of junk mail and newspaper inserts. Make sure it is a size and type of paper your printer will accept.

I stopped at a small craft show the other day and couldn't pass up this strawberry pincushion for $3. Cute and clever. Made, I believe, of wool felt. She had two small baskets of these in different sizes. Love those seeds!

In other news, have you seen this? You can now use Photoshop Express online for free! Yippee! As soon as the internet access starts behaving itself here, I'm in.

I'm not sure what the deal is with my photos. I must have chosen the wrong options somewhere, because all my pictures seem to be off-center. The edge of the nativity is cut off. And the one of me in the scarf? I had cropped it so it wouldn't show my lovely watering can, etc. next to me. But when I uploaded it, there it is in all its messy glory. I know there are a few options in my template to mess with.
Also would like to make a custom header, but haven't the foggiest how to do that. I really do like to research and learn these new things, but right now I don't have time for it. Have to sew!
Going to try to figure this out, but will post more photos tomorrow whether I figure it out or not.
